awning rail

i wont to put up an additional awning rail on the opp side of my

van. i have already put up a plastic one which i bought from my

local dealer but it is useless the awning bead just pulls out of

the rail when i tighten the poles and besides which i made a pigs ear of fitting it anyway.

i need some tips from someone who has done this eg screw size pop rivets etc or if someone who lives local to newport south wales who can do this job i would gladly pay them.

thanks alot chris

You can buy 3.6 metre lengths of aluminium awning rail from on-line accessory outlets.

Don't screw it on, the awning weight will pull the screws out.

Stick it on with Sikaflex.

I have stuck a length on my conservatory to allow the use of a canopy and to dry my awning when returning from a wet trip.
