Awning Rail

Help me out again guys, the seam on our awning that goes into the rail on the van has had about a metre of the plastic insert removed from each end.
Im trying to find some but i`m not sure what to call it.
I`ve tried searching "awning cord" "awning rail cord" and various others but the stuff i actually want is not showing up
 
Cant see why or how anyone could or would remove it. In normal condition the "accessory rail or bead" is somewhat shorter than the Kadar bead, could this be why you think it has been removed?
On Dorema and Isabella Anings this is where the fixons clip to and this accessory bead wouldnt be a lot longer than the height of the left and right fixons.
 
The part that goes into the rail on the van,has been snipped open and a section removed at each end which makes it shorter than the rail on the van so its kinda open at each end. No idea why. Maybe the people we got it off had bought the awning (NR) secondhand and it had been fitted to a smaller van
