Quick answer - 95% sure if I said it would be OK.. Most awning manufacturers make their awnings to cover a range of millimetres. For instance Dorema make their size 13 to cover everything from 950 to 975. Their size 12 awning covers from 925 to 950, so presumably if you had a van which was exactly 950, you could choose either the size 12 or 13. Also remember that if your nearside wheel needed to be raised on a ramp, that would effectively raise the length of the awning rail - ground to ground. So - yes, I think you'll be OK with your choice.

Even if you are on a level pitch you can raise the van with a pair of ramps that will lift it approx 100mm so in effect you would loose 200mm ...

It's only when you come to peg it out for the first few times that you will discover how high you need to lift the van to accommodate the awning ...
