Hello David, forgive me if you have aready tried this, but many caravans have a rubbing strip low down which actually has a channel in the underside to take the awning skirt - just like the top rail takes the main awning. so the skirt is unsupported only when it comes to the wheel arch. thread the top of the skirt into this rail and peg the ends out tight and it may solve your problem.

The skirt should have eyelets along the bottom edge. Peg down through these, if necessary take them back under the van to get some tension on them. If the skirt is too deep for the van when level, then consider shortening it and replacing the eyelets - this is quite easy to do and you can get replacements from most accessory shops.

On the subject of awning skirts - our skirt is long enough to go all along the side of the caravan, but the rail it slides along stops at the wheel with no exit for the skirt. this means we have to stop when it gets to the wheel and have some hanging out at the end. I been considering cutting it to fit, but wondered if there was something obvious I was missing - there must be a way of feeding the awning from one end to the other, it would mean opening up the end of the rail somehow.
