Sorry Cliff.

You have to understand, this is part of the price.

This is what you do ( sorry to be boring, I know I have posted this be4.)

Arrive on site (not too close to home)Wave to the people and tell the warden that you are a first time/no instructions awning erecter. You only need to wait 15 miniutes, trust me word will spread.

Now put out a couple of seats (do not worry people will bring their own) Lay on a few chilled cannys, bottles of wine, if pushed for this level of entertainment you can get away with the odd cup of tea.

Now b4 prosseeding take bets on how long to the first (snap at partner)for example, but you know, whatever turns you on.

Now try to erect the awning.

Now matter how well or otherwise you get on you will have friends for life.

You will of course never be sure that they are not laughing at you, but hell, thats caravanning.

ttfn

Hi, First of all relax, we have all been there before. I don't known your awning but in every awning there are vertical poles that fit into a left hand fitting, a centre fitting and a right hand fitting into which you insert the horizontal rafter poles, from those fittings to the van walls. Then peg it out. Do not do this in high winds or rain. As you have already asked us for help, then when you get on site and are starting to put the awning up, you have three options, put a sign out saying help, look helpless or get the better half to ask the neighbours. OK I give in. Meet me on the Caravan Club site at Looe, Cornwall, on 7 July and we will work it out together. regards Bill.
