Awnings

Hi all.
Can anyone out there help?
I have changed my van and require a new awning. Have spent the last two hours surfing the net I cannot decide which one is best. Is it the more you spend the better they are. Do budget awnings give a better value for money? We use or awning for about 50 nights a year.

Hi Dave
The two most popular good makes seem to be Bradcot & Isabella.
We had a Bradcot Classic awning, with easy alloy poles and were so pleased with it, that when we changed our caravan and needed a bigger awning, we got another Bradcot Classic for the new van. We particularly like being able to roll up the covering on the end windows, leaving a mesh window which ventilates the awning on a hot day. There is also a V-shaped zipped ventilation mesh at the top centre, to help with more ventilation. It also has a Tencate roof (all details are on the Bradcot website). The material and zips are strong and well made and the easy alloy poles are simplicity itself, making erection of the awning a doddle, with no tempers frayed and cross words exchanged.
