Hi all,
Not quite a newbie but I have finally sorted my new login and we are just getting ready to get back on the road again 6 more weeks and counting!!!!
For those who don't know us we are back to front caravanners, the van lies idle all summer and only gets used during the winter months as we are busy cutting lettuce all summer.
Our outfit is a mitsubishi warrier and a coachman laser :)

Hello again Aimee, I'm glad that your log in is sorted out and hope that you've had a good lettuce growing season.
I finally convinced Herself to try using our caravan during the winter months last year so we're all year round caravanners now.
Let's hope that we don't get too much snow this year

I like the snow better in pictures Aimee

That one was taken at D.A. 5 day rally last February. Luckily we were on e.h.u. so we were nice and cosy with our fan heater keeping our feet warm.
Most dogs seem to really enjoy the snow for some reason. You'd think that their paws would get cold but it doesn't seem to bother them unlike our cat who looks at it disdainfully and goes back to her snooze.

The picture I have on my profile was taken at Appleby this January the thermometer stopped working at -16 I remember spilling water on the worktop whilst filling the kettle(shaking hands!!) when we first got there and it froze in a matter of minutes no shower or toilet block as they were all froze solid and there was us and two other people on the whole park....bliss!!

We kept our caravan nice and warm the whole time that we were there last February, in fact our cat would have enjoyed it because we were warmer than we usually are at home. Over 50 units turned up to the February rally so we had plenty of company.

I should of said that we had put the van on for the whole of january so it had been sat for a week with no heating on!! it soon warmed up though we put the aircon on heat and had the gas heater on full whack, our dog also loves it in the van but every now and again the smell of burning dog means we have to move her from the fire as I said before cats are alot smarter
