Bailey Caravan Registration in France

Does anyone have any advice on registering a Bailey caravan in France. At present we have a Pageant Provence which we were going to get registered. Bailey could offer no advice except that we should contact Al-Ko. We are changing, in September, to a Senator Indiana and it will be this one that we want to register. Bailey have never exported to France so how do we go about getting the appropriate paperwork?
 
I remeber seeing a topic last year in I think Caravan Magazine (publisher IPC Media) or Caravan Life (publisher Warner publications). A person moved to France and had to register it there because french vans have a different registration to the towing car.

It was quite involved as you had to gat all the certificates to prove it was roadworthy and safe when on site. The french and their beurocracy.

Other than that, you could try talking to the french consulate/embassy.
