i cant seem to be able to get the heater to work when on electric supply the neon green light on control panel isnt luminated either what seems to be the problem?

gas heated is fine?

any suggestions appriecated or does anyone else have this problem!!!
 
The 12v for control, and therefore the LED in the switch, comes from a little transformer on the electric heatings main control board behind the fire.

It is common enough for this transformer burn out, possibly due to a previous mains voltage spike on site?, other than that it could be a faulty control switch or connection between
