Some time ago we had a Bailey Pageant Provence. We used to put a normal mattress in the rear lounge to make up a "permanent" bed. A friend is thinking of buying one but I'm confinced that Bailey did a similar layout Pageant with a fixed bed. The only similar one I can find is the Bretagne which has fixed bunks. Am I wrong in thinking that they did a fixed double bed version? Also, is there a Ranger with the same layout?

You are right.We had a 2005 series 5 Pageant Vendee. This and the series 4 Vendee had a massive transverse bed at the rear, side bathroom and L shaped lounge.
Below the bed was a wet locker with exterior access.
The series 6 Vendee was weird and barely lasted a year.It was built in reverse.The fixed bed was at the front and lounge at the rear.
At the time this was one of the longest single axles available.
