On the new Bailey Ranger, the awning light assembly has a clear plastic cover on the inside of the caravan, which clips out to enable the bulb to be replaced.

Because the cover is clear, the whole front inside of the caravan is illuminated when the awning light is on, not suitable for us because our toddler sleeps at the front of the caravan.

Unfortunately the Bailey factory is currently closed for summer hols so I was wondering if anyone might know the manufacturer of the awning light so I that I can try to get a solid cover rather than the clear one supplied.

I would imagine that that is how they are made.

Would it not be possible to make a wooden cover to fit over from the inside.

Its a good idea to have it showing inside as you are aware of it and can't leave it on all night .

But not in your case !!

Carefuly line the inside with kitchen foil. No light will pass through it and light will reflect the light the other way.

There should be little if any problem with bulb generated heat as well.
