Bailey Ranger series 6 540/6 nose weight

Its in your bailey handbook at the very beginning before you get into the techical stuff.

The maximum static nose weight for all Bailey Caravans is 100Kg, this should never be exceeded regardless of whether the towing vehicle's upper limit is greater.

It is recommended that the nose weight should be varied to find the optimum for towing dependent upon the the actual laden weight of the caravan. Experience has shown that the nose weight should be approximately 7% of the actual laden weight (i.e.between 50 and 100kg)

appears under 2.1 in my Bailey book.

The nose weight should be less than 100kg as that is the tow hitch limit. The other limit that has to be taken into account is the towcar limit which can be any thing between about 55kg and 150kg depending on the car - what are you towing with and what is it's tow limit - thats the one to use unless its more than 100kg which is the van limit.
