bailey ranger with cracked rear panel and praise for a dealer

Greetings all,
Well i must say that i was gutted to find my 4 year old ranger had damp in the rear upper corner in the last service, and that's where the fun started.............
All i can say is so much for the BAILEY DEALERS NETWORK, i went to a certain dealer (can't name obviously) who were happy enough to take my money for a service but then point blank refused to help with any repairs and refused to plug the small cracks that were found at the top of the panel, my advice was 'well you can put some duck tape on it mate' better take it back to the bailey dealer that you got it from.
So off i trundled having phoned the dealer where i purchased the van from........and my faith was restored, nothing was too much of a problem to them, cracks sealed, new rear end on order and problem found with front end so new one on order there as well all under warrenty, phone call after 3 weeks that all parts were now in and when can you bring your van in.
So a BIG THUMBS (so far) to READING CARAVANS (formally berkshire) and i won't stray to another dealer again for a service even though the other one was only 20 mins away.........and a big BOO to the stealer who wouldn't help.

I know where I would be getting my future servicing work done if I was you

wee jock,
yep your right had been going to reading caravans for servicing since i got the van they but they are about an hour and a half away and the other is only twenty mins away but there we go you live and you learn last time i try and be a tight git and save a bit if diesel lol

That's my dealer!

They were excellent before (as Berkshire Caravans), and no sign of any reduction since they were taken over and renamed Reading Caravans.

My 2005 Bordeaux has had a new front and new rear panel due to cracks at the top corners. The work was carried out under warranty so cost me nothing. Also the way in which the dealer did the work should result in far less stress on those corners so hopefully it won't need doing again, because each took four days in the shop, so if the bill were paid by me it would not be cheap.
