Hello Robert,

The same notice was posted a few hours after yours in the Technical threads by Ray. So far all the replies have been there, rather than here, It is a technical matter so I suggest that all correspondence is added to the thread in Technical.

l presume Bailey use the same sort of alloy wheels has other manufacturer's, if so on my Lunar Clubman it states 115 Nm not 110 Nm that bailey are stating or am l wrong in presuming their are differences in alloy wheels.

A less than 5% difference in from 110Nm to 115Nm is not going to affect the result. It's probably well within the manufacturing tolerances of the torque wrench anyway.
Yes, there are difference in alloy wheels. Quality alloy wheels will have steel sleeves inserted at the bolt holes. These serve as reinforcements to prevent yield of the relatively soft alloy material under stresses encountered in service.

Hello Heethers,
Your assumption about the wheels used by differnt caravan manufactures actualy beeing the same may be correct, but without comparing part numbers and detailed specifications it would be wrong to act on that assumption.
If your caravan or wheel manufacturer states 115Nm, then that is what you should use.
Apperances may be deceptive, and whilst the products may look the same to the untrained eye, there could be differences in load rating and the materials used.

It always seems to be Baileys that have this problem of wheels falling off. Google other forums going back several years and it seems a common problem with Baileys!

My neighbors swift lost a wheel, new caravan at the time.

As Baileys are the "ford" of caravans, the incidence of more problems is only to be expected.
I have had numerous problems with three new caravans, all different makes.
