Gavin,

We too have put a deposit down on another Swift and are more than happy we have done so.

We have been very pleased with our present 2-berth Charisma, but we now need a 4-berth and having seen the 'competition' have no hesitiation in ordering another Swift group caravan.

Did you know that Swift do factory tours (April & June so far this year), where you can see the various stages of their caravans being built and have the chance of a discussion at a meeting? Contact them if you want to go on one.

Swift group are the first and only caravan manufacturer to actively take part in this forum and are to be congratulated for stepping in and sorting out any problems that are aired.

It is noteworthy that until Kath from Swift started posting here Swift were getting a lot of adverse comments.

For me the reality is that only Bailey and Swift seem to make caravans that suit our requirements and price range.

It is a shame that very few posters say much about all the other makes. I wonder why that is?

When I was working I always told my colleagues to start worrying when people stopped talking about them!

Cheers

Alan

A lot of caravans look very nice. Having a good dealer and good back up from the manufacturer is great, but!

What you really need is a caravan that is put together well in the first place. We didn't want bits that drop off or break and a trip back to the dealers every other week or calls to the manufacturer no matter how acconmodating both might be.

All round apart from the odd exception we have found ours and others Baileys to be screwed together pretty darn well.

We have found the same with Abbey, I think it really comes down to personal choice , colour , layout, etc. same as the Ford Vauxall argument , you pays your money you makes your choice , they both sit in the middle ground where good 'ol middle class types like us like to sit !
