Bailey Warranty Issues

Does anyone have any advice as to how I can expedite a warranty repair with Bailey? I have a damp issue in the floor of my new Cadiz which was picked up on the first service. My Authorised Repairer says we just have to wait for Bailey to OK the repair and provide spares but it's been 2 months now. Any ideas?

Two months does seem somewhat excessive to get any repair authorised by Bailey.

When you say "spares" what spares are they? as a damp floor doesn't need any new parts.
My suspicions would be that your dealer doesn't want to clog up his workshop at this time of year with any warranty work, for which he gets paid peanuts compared to what he can earn from non warranty work.

It might be worth your while contacting Bailey to ask them if they have actually had ahy warranty request from your dealer in regards to your caravan, and if they have authorised any repair.

Be sure to include your caravans VIN number in your enquiry as that's the only way Bailey can identify it, and the ID your dealer has (should have?) used when applying for authorisation.

I wouldn't get too worried, if the damp spreads/gets worse it's not your problem to sort it but theirs! You may find that your dealer will put off the repairs until late autumn when the workshop will not be so busy. Better that than ou being without your caravan over the summer period suerly?

He who shouts loudest! If I had bought a new van, and it leaked, absolutely holy hell would be kicked up, I would literally drive to Bailey and have a little word. The BBC are also keen to “publicise” this kind of thing, it’s amazing how quick things get sorted when on national, or regional tv.

Good luck, but don’t stand for any nonsense from the dealer or Bailey. 🤞
