Heard that a local business were told by lical council to remove a banner advertising as to where they were due to being hidden by a new housing devlopment. They removed the Banner every night from railing by a main road roundabout but were told due to complaints they would face prosecution if they displayed it again.
When questioned the council official admitted that the "complaints" about the sign was actually one complaint from a commutimg motorist who lived eight miles from the roundabout but found the sign "offensive". Business advertised was a Nursery.
The Nursery were then offered the chance to "sponsor" the roundabout and put 4 good sized signs on it with their name and details, but were told they could not have the signs shaped as a directional arrow head at one end as this "could distract motorists".
Then I see in the paper that what is left of are hard pressed armed services have run out of Guns. They are 400 machine guns sort and a request from the MOD to the Americans who now call then the "Borrowers" has been turned down.
A Tory spokesman is reported to have said it just as well troops still have bayonets
It seems at times that the whole UK asylum is being run by Monkey's be it government, councils, police or health services so Banana Republic seems to be the cap that fits.
Or are we missing some finer point of the plot
