Battery Charger

Hi
I want to get a standalone battery charger to get my battery up to full capacity. I leave the caravan plugged into the mains but I am told that at times it could do with a 'proper' charge. I know I can't use my car charger, (not suitable for leisure batteries). Can someone recomend a unit?

Any of the multi stage chargers will do the job.
Depending on what kind of charger you already have, there is no reason not to use it.
If it is not a multi stage unit you will just have to make sure you turn it off when the battery is fully charged.

Thats best practice.
But my battery has never had a full charge only the onboard 13.7 volts, and a bit extra while towing, via the car.
And the battery is six years old (110 ah), and still operates my mover when required.
I only use electric hook up.

I've been using the Lydl's one for a few years, its great. I do note minor differences however cosmetically with the latest one. I assume the innerds are the same.
A good multi stage charger, but I didn't think mine did 6 Volts? There's a motorbike symbol, but I though that was for small AHr 12v bike batteries.
Its only weakness is that if the power goes off, you have to reset it, (select charge) which caught me out on holiday once.

At the moment we have a car battery in our caravan and charge it up every now and then with our multi charger. Even though it is not deep cycle it lasts quite a while.
