We have just returned from an eight day trip of Scotland .We set out from southern Ireland on the 18th june. We stayed the first night in Banbridge County Down Northern Ireland. On getting to Scotland we based ourselfs in that beautiful seaside

town called Ayr.We toured Edinburgh.Glasgow.Loch Lomond. The weather was beautiful, the country was the prettiest we have ever seen. The people were very friendly. We only had time to see half the country on our trip.We will be back next year to finish our journey. We will base ourself in that beautiful towm called Luss.

The caravan club site is out of this world set on the banks of

Loch Lomond. We have holidayed in a lot of countries,Followed

Irelands football team to many parts of the world.I have to say that myself and my wife kathleen have seen nothing more beautiful than Scotland. We shall return Lord spare us next year.

Nice to hear that you had a good time. We are going to Scotland in August for 9 nights staying at the CC in Edinburgh. The main objective of this trip is to go to the Military Tattoo but the remainder we are hoping to do what you did and tour around getting to see some of the Lochs and perhaps Fort William. Like you we think Scotland is beautiful so we are both looking forward to this.

Blairgowrie is in a lovely area (if you get the weather)Lived up there a few years ago. Pitlochry, Aberfeldy, Kenmore and Kilin are all worth a visit. If you are into water sprorts of any kind go to Loch Tay there is a water sports centre their (Croft-Na- Caber) where you can hire boats or jet ski's.

Don't leave without a visit to Blair Castle ( there is a good site in the grounds for future ref)

Thanks Graham, I have to confess we are not taking the van this time (hired a log cabin at GREAT expense) because there will be 8 of us at various times during the week. It has all mod cons so we hope we will be ok if the weather is not so good.
