We are considering going across Holland and Germany this year to Berlin. Can anyone recommend any sites along this route especially around Berlin. As we are both retired a quiet site would be preferable. Does not need to have lots of facilities.
 
For an overnight stop about halfway between Holland and Berlin try Camping Weserfreizeitzentrum, Kalletal near Minden. They have a website but it's all in German: www.camping-wfz-kalletal.de At least it shows you some photos so it gives you some idea of what it's like. For a campsite near Berlin, there's Camping Sanssouci-Gaisberg in Potsdam. It's far enough out of the city to be quiet but close enough to be convenient for sightseeing and Potsdam is worth a visit, too.
