Best Chair For Comfort

Hi All,

I'm looking to get a very comfortable chair for myself with possible recliner, not to worried about price as I imagine you only get what you pay for.

Any advice or experiance and even web links would be a great help.

Many Thanks,

Ian

Thanks GeorgeB

Just had a look at these I see there is various types of lafuma do you sugest a model no. or just try to find one and have a test sit.

Ian.

Lafuma RSX. They have a padded headrest which slips over the top and once you recline to the position you want, you slide two tabs situated underneath the arm rests and the chair locks into that position until you flip the locks again.

They are extremely comfortable and you can also get towelling covers to put over them. Handy for when you've got sun lotion on.

I can only advise you to go and try them all Ian.

We went to Riversway Leisure in Preston last year and spent AGES (and eventually a fair amount of money on things I wasn`t aware we needed......)trying all the chairs several times over, and eventually settled on Crespo chairs with leg extensions and towelling covers. Like yourself, I was prepared to spend what was necessary to get the most comfy seat, and these fitted the bill - for us.

Some of the more expensive chairs we found singularly uncomfortable, and some of the really cheap ones were astonishing value but just didn`t fit my rear end.

The manufacturers label counts for nothing if you aren`t comfortable.

Ian,

A different choice: I'd go with the Dutch Dukdalf recliner chairs with the leg extension and the "head-banger" neck-roll and head support.

Why Dukdalf? Build quality. Rectangular section aluminium tubing, assembled like a real chair - as long as you look at the Paso Doble model or better.

The cheap Dukdalf chairs use the Lafuma construction technique of U shaped bent tubing. The "real" chair construction of the more expensive Dukdalf chairs is more stable on rough ground or hard standing, and they last for ever.

The only problem is finding a complete range of Dukdalf chairs in the UK.

Robert
