Big caravan test inPractical Caravan

Hi There

In this months Big Caravan test on the pictures of the cushions when the beds are made up there placed up side down. Is this the way it should be done? Because I have been putting them up the other way.

HELP

Steve

I have read somewhere that if the cushions are shaped you should use them upside down, but I have found this even more uncomfortable as its like sleeping on a board.

I sleep with my cushions upside down, as I suffer from back pains and find the firmer base better. I think this is more down to personel choice, rather than a correct way of making the bed in the first place,

best regards, Martin

We use the cusions as shown, but have never used the back rests as ground extensions. Good idea or not? What it the rests move in the night --- would you end up in a heap on the floor?

Hi Stephen

There's no real right or wrong way. We tend to invert the cushions when the knee rolls make the beds look lumpy in the photos. As with any caravan bed, the proper way to assemble it is the way you sleep best...

We have a fixed bed, but if we make up the bed at the front we place the knee rolls against the windows, so that you only have the raised bits by your head & feet, leaving 90% of the bed flat.
