Fell for that one. The car behind the pic looked more like a sorento or similar.

Ho do you tell this is a spam?

Don't want to look a fool again

Just kidding- The mods have access to separate 'pages' for the forum apart from this main forum page.
One shows all the comments in chronological order and the other shows a list of those who have opened forum accounts, again in chronological order so it's a simple matter to keep tabs on forum happenings.
I do my admin every morning and last thing at night whenever possible and I check each new account holders email address against an international spam database to see if it is listed.
If the email address appears I immediately block the account via my moddy buttons and if it doesn't appear I use various criteria to determine the likelihood of the new account being a spammer based on experience.
If somebody joins the forum at 04:30 in the morning but is not on the database there's still a good chance that they wont be genuine for example.
From up to 20 new 'members' there is often only one or two left after my twice daily cull, and if the new username crops up on my separate' comments' list I invariably have a look to see what the newbie has written.
I'd noticed 'Kathryn' when 'she' joined and I guessed that this account might not stand up to scrutiny, but I had to bide my time until I had hard evidence because the anti-spam database showed no trace.
The spammer tried a couple of innocent looking comments and then added a spam signature so I removed that and blocked the account, so sometimes moddying can involve an enjoyable game of cat and mouse.

I'm always very grateful to receive emails from regular forumites which point out spam comments, this is especially helpful if I've been out and away from the computer because it saves me having to trawl through the database as soon as I come back, so many thanks to all concerned.
