If you are looking for a folding bike then you need to decide your requirements, and of course the size of your wallet. In general the larger the wheel size the easier to ride the thing, but then the bulkier the folded package. We use ones with 20 inch wheels which are probably the minimum if you want to ride any distance, not just to the wash block. Ours were made by the US Company called Giant and fold down to a reasonable size package, and they have their own carry bags. They were not cheap coming in at

I'm banned from riding my bike for the forseeable future by order of Herself. :0(

At the end of July I got my bike out of the garage where it has been since I had a stroke some time back. The bike was new, I'd only had it for a short while before my illness and it was going to waste in the garage.

I'd started to feel well enough to try and improve my fitness so although my balance isn't all that I'd wish for I thought I'd try my bike along the towpath of the canal, after all it was sure to be safe enough there.

WRONG!!!!!!!!!!

I fell off and landed on my right hip with a good old bang.It hurt like anything and when I managed to get back home SWMBO wasn't best pleased that I'd hurt myself and was limping about like a three legged donkey.

The GP thought I'd bruised it badly and it hurt so much that after a week I went to A&E who said I'd got 'soft tissue damage'

I eventually had an x ray last week and it turns out that I broke a bit of bone off the outside of my hip - the greater Trochera I think they said. No wonder it hurt!

I'd guess that by the time Herself forgets all about it I'll be in a bath chair so the bike is banished to the darkest reaches of the garage now.
