I have a Kia Sorento and tow a Bessacarr Cameo. I have recently acquired a bike for myself (20kg) and an electric bike for my wife (38kg with battery). I want to take these on holiday and need to secure the bikes on my vehicle or in the van. I need to manage them on my own as my wife is disabled. Any advice on simple, safe and relatively inexpensive way to transport them would be welcome.
 
The weight of the bikes (58kg) and rack (say 10kg) would swallow 60% of your noseweight allowance (112kg per Kia website). This would leave 54kg for the caravan, which might be OK for you - check your van's spec. I prefer to secure bikes inside the car, and second choice would be securely inside the caravan - if the payload permits.
