Bikes in a caravan

Hi, I am quite new to caravanning can anyone help, is it okay to transport bikes in your caravan whilst towing. I am looking at carrying 3 adult sized bikes?

apart from watching the weight, I found removing the pedals minimises the damage than can be done to the furniture. The pedals have an awkward nack of banging into the woodwork.

I carry two adult mountain bikes in my van, but they are enclosed within special bike bags with separate wheel covers. As Richard says, removing the pedals creates a flatter surface and thus will not cause any damage,

Another solution: Take old socks and put them over the pedals and handlebars. Stops any scratching 🙂

What aboout a roof rack. Saves insides of van weight of carvan being overloaded.
