Black runs

Hi Eric,

Fenwicks caravan cleaner used neat if the stain wont move has never failed for me, even better if the caravan has a coat of polish on it first, I use Autoglym and the stains come off easily with a bucket of water with Fenwicks applied with a washing brush. The other brands are no doubt very good but the first I bought was Fenwicks and had no reason to change.

Be careful with some black streak removers as they can dull the surface of your van if used too much.

You can use a little bit of white spirit on a damp cloth and then use a product like Kemdirect Shampoo which put a shiny polymer film on the surface and you do not get the black marks staying on your caravan the same.

The whole van is easy to clean if the rain hasn`t cleaned it first.

Watch too much polish as this puts a soft surface on your caravan and makes it a suitable surface for the dirt to stick to.

Try something called 'Stardrops'. It costs about 89p from Sainsburys, though I am sure Hardware shops will stock it also.

It is very good, doesnt dull the paint and gets rid of the black streaks.

Compared to the specialist products, it is also exceptional value for money!
