Blocked gas regulator ?

Having gone away in our 2006 Elddis Superstorm this last weekend i came across a problem that has never appeared before. In that i came to light the gas BBQ but did not have enough pressure of propane gas for it to light sufficently (or so i thought) i assumed that the gas cylinder must have been empty or very nearly so i changed over to a new cylinder and this initially seemed ok. However the gas gradually over 30 mins lost all pressure and the BBQ went out i went in and tried the cooker only to find that it lit before again losing pressure and going out. I now cannot light any gas appliance inside the van i have checked for leaks and there are none. I suspect that the bulkhead regulator is blocked has any one else had similar experience with this type of bulkhead regulator and if so what was the solution? I recall seeing an article in Practical Caravan some time back on faulty regulators but i cannot recall which issue of the mag. Any helpwould be greatly appreciated as we have our main summer holiday coming up in about 4 weeks.

Darren

there was a chap posted earlier on today that dealers are replacing these older bulkhead regulators FOC if the get blocked

Thanks for that i am going to book my van in for a service shortly so i will mention this at the time off booking it in, i am just glad it was only a weekend away and did not have this problem on the first day of a two week holiday in Cornwall as i would have been pretty unhappy then. Cheers
