Two loaded up 530D BM's passed me in Italy towing large vans on Italian Autostrada at Easter time. We were doing 80mph at the time on an uphill incline.They passed me again and hour or so later as I left a service area. Again at over 80mph. I think they must tow quite well ;-)

I have a 2000 530d Touring - best car I've ever owned. I usually change my car every 2 years or so but this one so good I shall probably run it untill it dies!!

Pulls my Spectrum 419 no problem - all the way to Switzerland and the Ardeche last year!

I tow with a 2000 530D Touring auto, and it is a fantastic towcar. I tow a Abbey Stafford and the outfit is very stable.

Towing in France last year any legal towing speed could be maintained, and the mpg was about 30.
