Bolton Abbey

Has anyone been to the caravan club strid wood site at Bolton Abbey. Any comments on the site anybody has would be appreciated.

We haven't stayed there - but live near by. It's very nice - clean, and shady, and a lovely area (of course, we live here). Lots to see and do, especially if you like walking. Typical Caravan Club site, clean and wholesome.

Try it, you'll enjoy it.

a Grand Site and at one time you had to be booked up a long way ahead to stay there.

the site is like all other CC sites well maintained etc.

from the site you can walk through Strid Wood to the river Wharfe (hope this is correct) and walk along the river to Burnsall ( a grand walk at most times of the year) and if you walk in the other direction you come to the Abbey itself. Grand site and a grand place to visit.
