Bradcot Active Awning poles problem

We have juts had a fantastic weekend away at lickpenny in Derbyshire but have had a problem with our awning poles. We have a Bradcot Active awning with the aluminium poles. One of them ( the roof pole from the side pole to the middle pole) has jammed open and we can't collapse it for storage. One of the side upright poles jammed and when forced cracked the grey locking device ( of which Bradcot are sending a new one)and we had to use tape to keep the awning upright! Also one of the roof struts from the caravan to the frant of the awning is very very stiff and feels like it will jam soon also. What are we doing wrong? can you oil the poles? It is only the third time we have used the awning and the other two times it was fine.

HELP!!

We have the same poles but have had no problems as yet, when we purchased ours we spoke to the rep for a long time, his advise was not to extend the poles fully on each section, keeping the smaller diameter length the shortest, this will give the max strength in the event of strong winds, I hope this helps out.
