I think they only come out on Dog debates and 4X4s. Technical issues are safe,as the advice and information tends to correct so no one can pull anyone else to bits.

Certainly the original dog post from Ian has all the hallmarks of a set up to get a response that can then be manipulated.

If you look at what is actually said (and them subsequently denied) it does seem calculated to get those of us with dogs to react to the rather silly suggestion.

You only have to look at the plethora of numpties that then come racing onto the scene with vitriolic abuse to realise that even is Ian's post was genuine (of which I have severe doubt) those with their own agenda have been given their chance.

Truly a case of the Lunatics taking over the Asylum.

In reply to some of the postings regarding the site, and some of the postings, unfortunately due to some tech problem we are unable to take the appropriate action needed, BUT , as soon as the problem is resolved I can assure you that a big clean up will be done.

Personally, I find it pathetic that some users will take advantage of such situations and post comments and views which can only be described as provocative, and show such immaturity which defies belief.

I have already seen one user decide to stop using the forum due to the type of comments made in various forums, and I can, unfortunately, see others following , all thanks to the minority who spoil what is meant to be a useful source of help, not a platform for stupidity

It's been peaceful for about a week hence I started posting again but sighhhhhhhhhhhh, it didn't last for long. If posters disagreed I noticed theres been no nastiness or snidey comments. Regarding Clive and myself, we both agreed with His Moddyship that we wouldn't respond to each others posts, which worked fine for a few months, but I'm afraid Clive couldn't keep it up, unsurprisingly. What I will always do is reserve the right to respond if someone attacks me, especially if they post BLATANT LIES to get their point over as is so obvious in the dogs thread. Even when it's pointed out he is LIEING his response is "whatsoever". So sad.

Once you get on site don't be afraid to ask others if you have any problems Nicci, most will try to help.

This has always been a problem with public forums. Some people just log on to have a laugh and wind others up. Sometimes you have to rise above the noise to hear the voice of reason.

I must admit that I come and go, when I feel like I'm wading through treacle I take a break then come back with some teflon boots on and start again.

But have to admit there is some rubbish on here from time to time but normally there is some intelligent comment. The last thing we want is every post is moderated, we have freedom of speech in this country and we should be allowed to use it, just because some idiots choose to hide behind a keyboard and abuse this freedom should not effect the rest of us.

Cheers

Mark

Apparently I have been given a one month ban because of the exchanges between myself and LB.

Hey ho!

It is what LB wanted

Still say that anyone who advocates violence cannot be right

I too have been banned for one month Clive which should please you :O) As I haven't posted in the last couple of months because of your idiocy it wont be missed. I have only started posting again in the last 10 days and before the ban had decided not to post anymore now you are back, well at least not until you leave these shores next year. I still have the emails from His Moddyship dated June 7th where we agreed to ignore each other but out of respect for His Moddyship and because he requested me not to I wont post them on the main.

As ususal you have to get in the last word.

You have it - you are welcome to it

I shall use the 4x4 forums and the new Out & About forum which less sensitive souls tend to use.

The forum is slowly going downhill which is very sad, i am sure everyone that uses it for seeking help and advice (myself one)are educated. Why cant we accept that everyone has different views (especially about the 4x4, dogs and kids) and leave it at that. There a lots of good users but few not so who are just ready to 'have a go'. I posted a topic about my van nearly being stolen from its storage on a farm and i got a smart reply 'why o why do people leave their vans on a farm' i have no choice the nearest secure site is approx a 2 hour drive and this put me off the site a while and started looking at the youngcaravan website. What about wiping the slate clean including Clive and LB and starting again - lets all be friendly!

Unfortunatley some people seem to hold a grudge. Certainly the infant adult Kanga does - what does he hope to achieve by calling my wife a Minger?

As for me and LB - I only have to say something and he is itching to have a go.

We did agree to disagree - but his advocation of violence towards another dog and its owner was too much. I asked that he did not start a debate but once again he accued me of lying and got all upset and weepy because all I had to do was to paste his aggressive words for all to see. Thats the trouble with the written word LB - you can be quoted:-

"but I could have guaranteed one thing, that dog was dead if it had have bitten her and also the owner if he had started"

Apparently we are both banned for a month.

But this Forum is so twee that we can still post.

Frankly I am passed caring what happens now.

But I do know that advocating violence is not the answer to anything
