Brakes siezed on

After I braked heavily the brakes on my 2006 Ace Brightstar siezed on !

I had to coax my outfit around 200 yds before I could find a safe place to park, by which time the clutch in my car was smelling something horrible !

I called for assistance, but when the mechanic arrived he could find nothing wrong, and thankfully my clutch seemed ok too.

I travelled the rest of the way home(200 miles) without further incident.

I am concerned this may happen again, so I was wondering if anyone has advice what could have caused this.

I did try to book my van in at a local caravan garage, but was amazed how far in advance I had to book, subsequently I will be off on my hols before I can get it looked at!
