Accordng to the blurb it's taken Brasso 110 years to come up with a new product.
We were given a couple of bottles of this new Brasso product to try. Brasso 'Gadgetcare'. Have to say, for once we are well pleased with a new product. Not only has it cleaned up the Iphone, Ipads and telly it is has done a great job on the inside of the caravan windows, plastic drink cabinet window the flat screen. Even cleaned up some of the caravan bathroom plastics really well.

I use my ceramic hob cleaner (in an orange coloured container) for a very similar purpose. It looks a bit like brasso, and rubs on leaving a residue which polishes off. It gets all those stubborn marks off the inside of the fridge plastic, removes annoying marks off any bits of plastic or trim - like the bottoms of the blinds where the pull handles are, or the frames holding the blinds in place, cleans up the white electric kettle and the mini-oven and hob enamel (even removing turmeric stains from the last curry) and polishes the plastic windows and any other bits and pieces, including mirrors.

You have to be very careful with what you use on laptop and touch screens.
This new Brasso stuff is made to do the job rather than risk wrecking an expensive bit of kit

Hi, Yes, sorry wouldn't dream of cleaning a laptop screen or ipod screen, and I doubt there's anything else worth very much in our van, so I should have just mentioned that the ceramic hob cleaner does a damn good job of cleaning other odds bits and pieces around the caravan. It also cleans up the grab handles at the front too - providing you don't let them get too bad!

Ordinary Brasso works really well for polishing out fine scratches on acrylic screens* — I've used it to buff up an old iPod (one of the original models) both front and (metallic) back. It's important not to use the Brasso material itself on plastic, though — it's far too abrasive. Instead, dab a soft clean cloth onto the Brasso to soak up a little of the polish and use that instead. For transparent screens, the plastic will fog before you can polish it to become completely clear, so this works best on small screens that you can polish completely, rather than small areas of large screens.

* Take care when doing this with the plastic touch-sensitive screens used on many smartphones — the pressure you need to exert may cause damage to the fragile layer underneath. Also, do not try this with glass screens. Most laptops and smartphones with glass screens (the iPhone and iPad for example) have a protective top coating and abrasive polishing will damage this, creating a problem worse than the one you set out to solve.
