breathable groundsheet?

Hi all,

we have a great breathable groundsheet for our awning. I have just taken it out of its bag to air it before using it, and have noticed small patches of dried on mud from last years holiday.

can anyone give me the best ways to clean these off- just brush them off or can i use cleaners on it?
