Has anybody bought or made and fitted breather boards to go behind the back cushons, we were away at new year and had alot of condensation behind the cushions.

Greetings Dave,

When we bought our Swift last year we were already aware that although the van had breather boards in the front behind the cushions, it did not have a board behind the island bed at the back.

I had some Upvc soffit left over from building the house as well as some 'H' section jointing for the same job. The soffit was about 8" deep and it was an easy job to cut it to length and attach the 'H' section to the back and glue it in place with double sided tape. The first attempt fell off but then I found some industrial strength 'sticky' that has done the trick and kept the bed and bedding away from the outer wall.

I fitted some as supplied by Bailey

All that you need is some hardboard or wallboard preferably with a decorative finish(Fablon?) and fix vertical battens(1in X 3/4in) every 18in or so

You just drill a hole near the top and one near the bottom and fix into the van side with screws that are about 1/2in longer than the thickness of the boards

Hope that helps

Should read top and bottom of each batten and hardboard should be about 12in+ wide
