Hi M.H.,

We've been to Brighouse Bay a few times and would go more often, but it's a bit of atrek from Dundee.

It's a large park, but we've never felt that it's been over crowded or noisy. There are various areas to pitch, from next to the playarea, along a quiet site road, next to the trees etc, something to suit everyone. We are usually right beside the playarea, having two young kids.

The playarea is large, safe and excellent. The toilet / shower facilities have always been clean and are of an adequate standard. There are two blocks, one large, one small, depending on where you pitch.

There are plenty places to explore onsite, if you fancy a wee walk or if you have dogs. There is also a beach that you can access from the site, although you can't see it from the touring areas.

There is a clubhouse that is about 200 metres from the nearest pitch, so you won't be disturbed by any entertainment noise. It has a pool, bar, food and games room. A good set up.

There is a small shop onsite that sells everything.

Overall the site is very good and I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Have a good trip,

Alex.

Have been twice, once in a trailer tent when the kids were little, and again in a motorhome about 4 years ago. Lovely site, lovely area. You can walk through to the beach where there were NO fish and chips, bingo, ice cream men etc. Just sand, sea, rocks, seaweed and highland cattle. Bliss. Kirkcudbury (?sp) is also nice.

enjoy

I have to agree with both Mel and Alex. A large site but nicely segregated. There is also golf and canoeing. We went about 4 years ago in a tent. Bikes are an asset here both in the site and for cycling into Kircudbright on quiet B roads.
