Just sharing this idea in case anyone else finds the inspiration useful after also staring at ancient POL combo two hole caravan 12V plus TV sockets they never use for years. I’m converting mine into something useful, first off two modern USB type C PD charge sockets and one car cig lighter socket version will follow too. Needed to charge something modern and standard USB doesn’t cut it. Could have been a more elegant job with the plastic work but I used what was to hand, lots of hotmelt plus some thin ABS sheet to mod the socket size. 12V chargers and in-line USB C sockets designed for a different hole size were from eBay, all rather exorbitantly priced, but fancy charging costs I guess. Pic is of work in progress. Not a time efficient method, but solid. Steve

Thanks will do. I did the first USB to work out how it would go. Waiting on delivery of another USB female socket now as all seems ok, may as well have two. PD power will no doubt be mandatory for more and more items as time goes on,

As promised some pictures of the final installation. Fusion of old Bailey looks and modern power. I played with staple attachment of cable ties to quickly fix the two 12V chargers to the rear of the panel, as pictured. All the rear installation is hidden under a Bailey cover panel in the wardrobe. One annoyance. I later discovered the USB C extension sockets I bought do not connect the power lines properly, USB C plugs are supposed to work either way up (much better than old fashioned USB) but via the wall adapter things only work one way. Wouldn’t buy this type again but clearly am not going to undo the job. Works fine as long as you are aware

Steve
