we are travelling out next week on Brittany Portsmouth- Caen croosing.

We have used P&O Club class for years and found it really good but Brittany do not offer anything similar. Does anyone know where to head for on the two boats that do this crossing that is quiet area and or adults only.

I appreciate that we can ask when on the boats but any advanced info would be appreciated.

If you find the lounge "QUIET" let me know because we've never found it so.

As for reclining sleeper chairs. Take away the drunks, Ipod hiss, Preying Orthodox Jews, Mums breast feeding babes whilst hyper todler runs riot, Card School etc and you may get to sleep.

We always book a cabin which are cheap enough on a day crossing.

As for Gorges du Chambon, we were there at the end of season last year but will never return there after the attitude of the assistant manager when the site became over-run by partying students:-(

What crossings do you guys make?

Every crossing I have EVER made with Brittany Ferries has been great!

The overnight to Cherbourg - in your own cabin GREAT!

The day crossing - four hours of relaxing with a paper after a good breakfast!

The trip from Plymouth to Santander - see a film - read a book have a meal!!!!

If you want a bit of luxury - then Brittany offer their Commodore Class.

Cannot compare it to P&O as I rarely use P&O having tried them some time ago and found them wanting.

Hi,

As a former frequent traveller on the Dover - Calais P&O route (commute to Rotterdam) I really enjoyed the free Club Class and Priority loading - but for the past year I've used the Euro-tunnel and just enjoyed the extra hour saved.

However, for a long (longer than 2 hours) crossing, I'm still convinced that Brittany Ferries have it spot on and if you want somewhere quiet, just take a long relaxing meal in the waiter service restaurant. A welcome reminder of French food.

I tend to use the Hull to Zeebrugge P&O crossing mainly because of where I live in the country. The overnight crossings are great. Couple of pints in the bar - either in the more lively disco area or upstairs in another bar with someone playing the piano.

Cabin for a few hours sleep, big breakfast before setting off abroad. A most enjoyable start to our holiday.

Hi. We had a great holiday. Hank the Ass. Manager was great and we had no problems. That is why we are going back.
