Hi all. Does anyone know whether, on the 14.45 Portsmouth/ Caen crossing, either the main resteraunt or the self service is open please or will just sanwiches/snacks be available.
 
I am sure it will be sandwiches / snacks until later when it will be open (5 ish) for evening meals. On that sailing we usually have lunch before sailing and then go to the self serve later for something hot so we do not have to worry about feeding the family later.
 
The main restaurant is definitely open in the evening - from around 6pm IIRC. I don't think it opens before that although I could be wrong.
It's a bit expensive but the huge buffet of starters and sweets makes up for it!

We usually do the St Malo evening crossing and my holiday starts with the buffet in the restaurant and i was worried I would be missing out.
