We are going to France for a month in May, and want to connect to broadband to use the internet. My wife and I have Vodafone pay-as-you-go mobiles. I understand that to use a Vodafone dongle would be very expensive. What do other members use? Is there a French broadband provider that we could use just while we are over ther?

I dont know Vodafone's data charges in France but my "3" quote was a horrendous figure and promptly forgotten.
We rely exclusively on WiFi.
Many sites have free WiFi others charge. Some dont publicise they make it available but a quiet word at reception has yielded a code that we could use in the evening in the environs of reception.

Or try going to public libraries or McDonalds - both free wifi and you don't have to put up with the ads at the libraries.
