Hello all, as anyone stayed in a tourer at this site when it has been raining. Our son has a rugby tournament in October and we are staying on this site. I have recently been told that the pitches are under water in the rain. Has anyone been there and experienced this. Would be very grateful for your information. Thanks, Helen.

Hi Helen we have never stayed there but have driven past deliberately just to try and see what it is like as we like Aberdovey very much. Itis located on a steep hillside doesn't look very special but I think the touring area may be located at the bottom corner of the park, not as steep, but next to the main road. Hope this helps.

Hi Peter, thanks for that. May go for a spin one day to have a look for ourselves. I have contacted the site and they say that they have done some work over the winter - gravel standings etc. Going to see what the pitches are like cause we have no choice but to stay there for the rugby tournament. Helen

Helen, we stayed on this site at easter last year and found that the touring pitches leave quite a bit to be desired, they are located at the furthest possible point from anything on site and do indeed get very very wet if it rains. we where told by static caravanners that the pitches have in the past been under 12 inches of water. all in all the site is just another big commerciall site with loads going on and would be ok if it where not for the terrible pitches.
