Ive bought a Bulldog CAravan Leveller - what are the opinions - Good or Bad?

Apart from the weight and the fact that it was obviously designed with smaller caravan wheels and tyres in mind, what does the jury think.......

Simon I bought one 12 months ago after going to the C.C. site at Marazion but unfortunately haven't used it yet. When going to Marazion or other uneven sites I will take it but otherwise loathe to take it everywhere because of the weight.

We have one and yes, they are heavy. I also believe that there is at least two sizes so make sure that you get the right size.

Having said that, in the Netherlands they sell a device using the same principle BUT in aluminium. If we were buying again this is what we would go for.

They are useful and far easier than trying to get the van level on ramps - unless you have a motor movr fitted.

I gave mine away. The weight was an issue but also the thread on the screw wore fairly quickly so it got harder to use. Aluminium would be even softer I guess.

Nowadays , with insurers wanting two security devices I am already carrying a ton of scrap metal so I decided a couple of bits of plank weighed less.

Incidentally, did you consider those interlocking yellow plastic ramps ? I looked but not bought as I am sceptical to their efficiency. If something made out of steel was a problem can't see plastic holding out.
