just a short note,we were booked to spend easter in south wales but on thursday afternoon i received a phone call to say the weather was too bad and the site was too wet,at 5.20 on thursday i phoned burrs country park cc site,the warden managed to find me a pitch and we had a lovely weekend,lots to do in and around bury,east lancs steam railway,bury market,loads of walking.thanks to the wardens at burrs cc site its not our 1st visit and it wont be our last,a very clean site with a pub at the entrance and loads to do.
 
Glad you liked it. Burrs is almost always full if you try to book online, but we have phoned the site like you the last 3 times (our grandkids are nearby!) and they usually can get you in. Agree with your comments - steam trains run past the site, best market in the country!
