Looking at a new Burstner 500TS fixed bed single axle van. looks good, except the combined toilet and shower looks a bit small. It is not fitted with a shower curtain as the dealer claims the whole room is "waterproof". Being used to a van with sepearate shower and using it frequently instead of site toilet blocks this is quite an important consdieration.

Any comments on this issue and the quality / details of Burstner vans in general much appreciated.

Although have never owned a Burstner they do have a good reputation for quality vans and motorhomes.

The layout you have is identical to my Cristall Samoa but I do have a curtain that goes across the door of the washroom. As yours, like mine, opens outwards I am curious how the water is kept from flowing into the gap, if there is not curtain. As far a sbeing wwaterproof, I would suggest check all the seams and if there are no gaps then there should be no problem. The toilet will need to be dried after use of course. I tend to use the site showers because I am lazy.
