There was a topic on-here recently re cadac and how good they were and how difficult they were to clean, I don't want to re start the long debate about the merits or otherwise of them but just thought I would post my personal opinion, I've just got home from 2 weeks in Dorset where I used mine to cook breakfast of sausage, bacon, mushrooms, eggs and tomatoes all of which I cooked entirely on the cadac, I reckon over the two weeks we also had around 8 or so BBQ's with all the usual meats and one or 2 not so usual, during this time I mostly made do with giving the cadac a quick wipe with kitchen roll and covering it over ready for it's next use, I did once after a busy BBQ take it to the on site washing area and gave it a half hearted wash in not so hot water which wasn't the best at dissolving the grease but was good enough, having now unpacked I decided to give all the bits a proper clean, 15 mins in a bowl of hot soapy water using a nylon scourer followed by a final run thru the dishwasher and it's as good as new and ready for it's next outing, cooking on it was also more than satisfactory once I had got the hang of which bits to use and when, I would definitely give it 10/10 on all counts.
