We love ours. Very easy to clean all the plates as they are non stick.

Just been discussing this in another topic,
They are not a proper BBQ they are griddles, woks plates etc.
If you want the proper BBQ taste these are not the one to go for
I'm looking for an alternative.

Very easy to clean and ideal for being able to cook proper meals on, for those of us who do not like BBQs, but still want the option of cooking outdoors. Use the skottle a lot. Have had a couple of issues with the cadac but their customer service has been very good and very swift.

thanks mel, with the bbq plate does any of the fat from meat drop down into the cadac base, and if so is that easy to clean.

What are the other alternatives then. We really just want it for quickness if the weather is a bit dodgy and time is not on our side, but most of the time charcoal would be the way.

I must be doing something wrong.

Cleaning our Cadac two years ago took longer than the actual cooking, never mind the mess it made in the sites sink. All the fat etc dropped onto the baffle plate and then burnt on like super glue. Yuk.

It now resides under the bed.

Another good buy for us, first came across them in Holland. Found it hard to clean but can recommend the following:-
Buy a liner, we got ours from Towsure, drop it on the Wok part use as normal, take it off and wash in a sink then hang up to dry. when using the hot plate, after cooking add a little water and fairy leave to cool then wipe clean. The griddle for use as a BBQ is a nightmare to clean as you are not supposed to use abrasive cleaners, everything seems to stick, so I ensure that everything is well oiled/marinade prior to cooking.

They're not difficult to clean as such but its quite surprising how wide the plates are when you try and get them into the sink.

Had our Cadac for about 6 years now and the top plate is starting to wear. Cleaning is ok but you do need a big sink. They're very portable, but as pointed out they're not actually BBQ's and are more griddle / hotplate. (Great for breakfast). I'm thinking of getting a new Webber gas BBQ Q120 with stand. But not to sure about fitting it in the car!
