Cadac not cooking!!

hi could anyone with a cadac saferi chef with the cartridge give me some advice.

we purchased this from a car boot; i've given it a good clean.

we went to use last week but we found it wasn't cooking food,however the grilled plate was getting hot. are we doing anything wrong. only trying to cook 2 pork chops ended up putting under grill.

My experience is that the Cadac BBQ does not get very hot. However, given long enough the food does cook and it never burns.
