Hi. Looking for a site for New Year. Thinking about Cambridgeshire but if you know somewhere nice that meets the description below, feel free to suggest it.
Does not need to have organised entertainment, in fact would prefer if it didn’t.
Must have Hardstanding and hook up. Fully serviced preferred.
Doesn’t need to have showered or toilets.
Would like it to be in walking distance ( 45 mins or so) of a city town or village with shops, pubs, cafes etc. But as it will be December/January walking along no pavement and unlit lanes is not a good plan.
Happy for CL/CS or private sites.CAMC want nearly £40 a night for their main sites so not bothering with them.
Thanks for all suggestions received.

The Old Brick Kiln caravan park near Fakenham.
Two nice restaurants within your 45 minutes walking but not recommended at night. There’s a small bar on site with bijou restaurant and the takeaway Sunday roast is excellent after a long drive or if out exploring the area.

Have a look at Wyton Lakes near Huntingdon. Opposite a garden centre and a short walk to a pub/restaurant and probably 30-40 min walk into Huntingdon. It is also on the bus route to Huntingdon or St Ives where there are loads of eating places and shops and a guided busway into Cambridge.

Thank you. Have actually found that one and it is on the short list. I have now moved it to the top.
