Camp du Verdon - French South coast.

Has anyone stayed on this site on the French South coast, and if so what did you think of it? We are going there in August this year nd staying for 9 nights.

We want to visit Monaco, so the site should be within driving distance.
 
If you mean Camping du Verdon at Castellane it is about 80 miles from Monaco and about 2 hours in good traffic.

To the coast from the site is around one and a half hours.

Nice site and Verdon is a spectacular area but no where near the coast.

You go via Grasse to the coast and Grasse must be getting on for a thousand feet above sea level, you have lovely drive through the mountains, hence the time taken to get to the coast.
 
Thanks euro, I am looking forward to it already. The 2h drive to Monaco is not too bad. Sounds like some good driving/scenery in the area.
 
We were first ones to arrive at the start of the season and found most of the site a bit "boggy"so chose a place under the tree's. I agree with euro as to the rest, we had some lovely runs out to Monaco ,Grasse and others.
